Love this and so related to the first paragraph. Often times we are our own biggest hurdle. Get me out of my own dang way!!

Thank you Allison! ✨ So happy to hear this. And you are right – how ironic that we can very often be the one preventing our own successes. We must believe in ourselves more!

Harriet it's like you read my mind and then wrote it all down!! I used to be the absolute WORST for telling myself I couldn't do something, especially writing, so I ended up googling and finding loads of debut authors and following them all so my feed is literally filled with people who are doing what I want to do, and so now I see every day that it's possible and it's totally changed the way I think of it. I saw someone say that just because something is challenging or difficult doesn't make it unrealistic or impossible, which I think we're taught to believe in creative industries, that it's an "unrealistic" path. This was SUCH a great piece, enjoyed it so much! 💙

Ahhh thank you SO much, Ella! Too kind 🥹 Knowing that something I wrote hit all those relatable chords is just the best. I love love love how you find debut authors and literally fill your feed with them as inspiration (I will be stealing this idea!!). Anything that reminds us it is truly possible to do what we love, and believe we are GOOD at it, is amazing. You are very right in what you say about the creative industries too – unfortunately, people find it too easy to view these as 'risky' or 'unrealistic' paths, but that's not the energy we need! The best things can come from the biggest challenges/leaps taken. This comment means so much. 💜 We got this!!!
